Day01 Jul22 Arrive Xining (No meal)
Upon your arrival, be picked up at the airport or railway station, transferred to 4* Xining Mansion Hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own arrangement.
Day02 Jul23 Xining-Gonghe by private car (B/L)
Today we would drive 3.5 hours from Xining to Gonghe County. Gonghe is the way stop between Xining and Yushu but nothing special in this county. We can show you around the Qinghai Lake on the way, the entrance cost of Qinghai Lake Scenic Spot cost RMB120/per person including the cost for the shuttle bus. If you don't interest in visiting Qinghai Lake, then we can leave Xining after lunch time. You can visit the Dongguang Grand Mosque in the morning by walking from your hotel. The walking is only 15-20 mins on a straight road. We would arrive Gonghe County before dinner time. Dinner is on your own arrangement. Overnight stay at 4* Longhao Hotel.
Day03 Jul24 Gonghe-Madoi-Yushu by private car (B/L)
Today is a hard day with long driving distance over the mountains and cross the river. You will pass 7 mountains with the average elevation are more than 4200 meters to reach Yushu Tibetan autonomous prefecture. Gobi desert is the view you would see along the way to Madoi. Before getting close to Madoi, the river in front of you is yellow river, which known as the mother river of Chinese people and it also origin from Qinghai Province. We would have a quick lunch at Madoi County and then pass the first bridge of yellow river to Yushu directly, enjoy the scenery along the way and breath the fresh air. Upon arrival of Yushu, check in and overnight stay at 4* Gesar Palace Hotel. Enjoy the free leisure time in Yushu to acclimate the high altitude.
Day04 Jul25 Yushu (B/L)
Enjoy the Opening Ceremony of the Festival of Yushu Horse Racing Festival and other cultural activities. We would provide you lunch box from hotel in advance.
Evening attend the Bonfire Evening Party which according to the actual schedule given by the organizer.
Day05 Jul26 Yushu (B/L)
Enjoy the horse racing competition and other cultural activities. We would provide you lunch box from hotel in advance.
In the afternoon, we would drive you to visit Lepa valley, where Buddhist Sutras and teaching are carved on the big and small rocks in the river. On the mountain and on the high cliff, you would see some Tibetan words and signs crave on it, and feel the heartquake faith of Tibetan people. Then we visit Princess Wencheng Temple, a small temple with stone carved Buddha images was told that the story of Princess Wencheng. She is the most famous and beloved queen in Tibetan history. Finally we would visit Jiegu Monastery where you can have a bird eye view of the whole Yushu County as the monastery built on the half hill.
Evening attend the local ethnic sing and dancing show which according to the actual schedule given by the organizer.
Day06 Jul27 Depart from Yushu, take flight to leave Yushu (B)
Morning transfer to the Yushu Airport and take flight to leave Yushu.
